The Frankfurt Radio Big Band tips its hat to Albert Mangelsdorff. For half a century, the world-famous trombonist was regarded as the most important ambassador of jazz made in Germany. His artistic legacy lives on after his death. In the jazz orchestral interpretation of his album "Trilogue", Nils Wogram shows what sounds can be elicited from a trombone in the spirit of Albert!

The "Jazzclub in Studio 2" offers members of the Frankfurt Radio Big Band the opportunity to realize new concepts and ideas with colleagues and musician friends. It offers a playground for the band's creative minds and the environment to try out new music in new constellations. Sometimes, projects created this way were to last for a long time.
