The second major project for our new Composer in Residence is a collaboration with exceptional pianist Aaron Diehl. His style spans all decades of jazz and inspires with its elegance, yet is completely free of conservatism. His award-winning albums are topping the jazz charts and he is a regular guest at the biggest concert halls. Experience this world-class artist in Frankfurt and Giessen!

There is an extremely diverse and interesting jazz scene in France, but far too little exchange with our direct neighbors! Pierre Bertrand is a figurehead of this scene, an award-winning saxophonist, composer and big band leader. Together with the professionals of the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and the selected students, he will take you home into his fascinating world of sound.

The Manhattan Transfer, Jane Monheit, Till Brönner, Stacey Kent, Mario Biondi, Rebecca Bakken, Klaus Doldinger and China Moses: the list of prominent soloists who have performed with the Frankfurt Radio Big Band at Schloss Johannisberg is long. It has not yet been decided which guest will be performing with the Frankfurt Radio Big Band this time, but it will be announced on our website in due time.
