Omer Klein was raisend in Israel, has studied in Boston and now lives in Frankfurt. Here he came into contact with the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and the idea for a very special project together emerged: Omer will compose new songs out of selected poems, working together with jazz singer Becca Stevens in New York. Mike Holober will arrange these songs for the Big Band. It’s a collaboration of masters of their art!

Duke Ellington created a revolutionary sound that fused jazz, blues and swing. He is a jazz icon and is considered one of its most dazzling personalities. With Jason Moran, the next generation bows to the "Duke" and congratulates him on his 125th birthday. With the Frankfurt Radio Big Band, he brings the original arrangements of Ellington's orchestra back to life. This program is a revival of their successful concerts in April 2024.
