Ende der weiteren InformationenAufgewachsen in West-Berlin als Tochter eines Südafrikaners und einer Heidelbergerin ist die Musikerin bis heute eine der markantesten Soul-Stimmen Deutschlands. Es ist nicht das erste Mal das Denalane mit der hr-Bigband spielt, aber es wird für diesen Anlass ein komplett neues Programm mit frisch geschriebenen Arrangements geben.
Der Anlass ist Joys neues Album "Let Yourself Be Loved" das sie beim legendären US-amerikanischen Label Motown veröffentlicht hat. Der Name des Labels ist Programm und so dürfen Sie sich auf einen Soul-Abend im Stile der 1960er und 70er Jahre freuen. Mit dabei an den Tasten der Produzent des Albums und langer musikalischer Begleiter von Joy Denalane: Roberto Di Gioia.
